Embedded Engineer (m/f/d)
Build the next generation of defense sensors with us.
Our radar sensor needs someone who bridges silicon and signal processing: bootloader, communication, security, memory — everything below the DSP chain. We're an early-stage team — two founders in Munich, hiring our first engineers right now. Your chance to be one of the first on board.
The Role
You write hardware-near software for our radar sensor. Not classical AUTOSAR / BSW configuration, but real low-level work on SoCs, Orin, Raspberry Pi & friends — wherever our kit ends up embedded.
What you'll do
- Low-level programming: bootloader, power, security, memory integration
- Network communication including Automotive Ethernet
- Vectorized, performance-critical implementation in C++ or Rust
- Keep memory consumption and overhead under control
- Work tightly with hardware and DSP — boundary-crossers welcome
What you bring
- Experience in hardware-near software development (embedded, not just AUTOSAR configuring)
- Strong C++ or Rust
- Ethernet stack know-how, ideally Automotive Ethernet
- Nice to have: familiarity with typical radar components (SoC, MCU, HSM, etc.)
- Fluent English
Why you'll fit
You're flexible enough to reach beyond your scope — at Alethos the line between HW, embedded and DSP blurs by design. You don't want to click AXML, you want to understand what actually runs on the board. Startup mindset: ownership, pull not push, comfort zone out.
